Marie Diaz has spent more than 20 years growing her successful, Dallas, Texas, USA-based human resources services company, Pursuit of Excellence. As CEO, Chief Visionary Officer and founder of the organization, Ms. Diaz presently leads multiple offices across the US and Mexico and serves clients all over the world.
Originally founded in 1994, Pursuit of Excellence was incorporated in 1997 and has evolved into a multi-million dollar company providing a comprehensive suite of human resources and business process improvement services. In addition to her role as CEO of Pursuit of Excellence, Ms. Diaz has also worked separately as an Organizational Development Consultant and Coach for Fortune 500 companies.
A passionate entrepreneur, author and sought-after keynote speaker, Ms. Diaz often inspires others with her mantra, “Success Doesn’t Come To You; You Go To It.” She also works tirelessly to help fellow business owners flourish and give back to numerous charitable organizations in her community. Ms. Diaz actively serves as a board member and advisor to interests in the areas of the arts, education, youth, women in business and entrepreneurship – just to name a few.
Ms. Diaz has been recognized on dozens of occasions for her accomplishments as both a businesswoman and community leader. Mark Galvan
Chairperson and Co-Founder
Mark Galvan offers more than 20 years of experience in the talent management outsourcing space and has conducted business in USA, Mexico and Asia, across more than 30 industries. Since 2011, Mr. Galvan has served as President and Chief Strategy Officer at Pursuit of Excellence where he provides strategy, tools and resources that empower leaders to accelerate the achievement of their mission and purpose.
Prior to his leadership role at Pursuit of Excellence, Mr. Galvan led a team of 250 human resources, payroll and benefits professionals for Accenture in North America. As a human resources and business process improvement consultant, he has assisted such high-profile clients as Aon, Best Buy, United Services Automobile Association (USAA), the US Department of Homeland Security and many others.
Mr. Galvan received his Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State University, San Marcos, California, USA. He also earned a number of esteemed certifications that inform his strategic recommendations and solutions. His many accomplishments include certifications in Strategic HR Consulting; Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Training; and Human Resources in the Federal Workplace.
A published author and inventor, Mr. Galvan received a patent for his invention, the Productivity and Utilization Tracking Tool in 2009. As co-founder of CEO Clubs Australia, Mr. Galvan looks forward to sharing his strategic insight in business solutions and helping connect C-suite executives across Australia, China, India and the globe.
